Glory

Lisbon, Portugal

The tallest figure on the Arch of Triumph, overlooking the Praça do Comércio and Tagus River, represents Glory and measures an astounding 7 meters (23 feet).  She crowns Valor and Genius, two statues one on each side of her.  Construction of the arch began in 1755 after the devastating earthquake, which nearly ravaged the entire city.
